Eastington horse show has been running for over 30 years and is an event which is held once a year, always the first Saturday in August, and is the ideal opportunity for local horse people of all levels and abilities to enjoy their horses, and the committee enjoy seeing everyone who attends enjoy themselves. There is something for everyone to have a go at, it is also the ideal time to bring a novice horse or rider along for experience as there are not many local events held. We are also pleased to say that we are still one of the few shows that run gymkhana games as we know what fun the children and adults alike have taking part in these classes.
It is the policy of the committee to donate the majority of the profit to any local charities that apply for a share of the funds available and then the committee decides and agrees on any other charities that would benefit from these funds. |
The committee involved in this event do so on a voluntary basis and donate such much time and commitment for free. It must also be said that we have many sponsors who make donations towards the show and without these people and sponsors the show would not run. If you or you know of anybody who would be willing to be a sponsor, lend a hand on the day of the show or is interested in becoming part of the committee, please let us know by sending the details to the show secretary or pass on your details on the day of the show. It would be of a great benefit if any person who may be interested in helping has an understanding of horses, this does not mean we would turn down any offer of help if this was not the case; there are loads of tasks and jobs that need doing.
